The life has got several junctures where we realize “How lucky we’re”….Such an occasion brings about lots of joy and also a feel of guilt for your deeds….These mixed emotions are humane….Even I had the feel, not once but many a times….These instances really makes you sit and think about your life, how lucky you are to have such a good life - with your parents by your side to care for you, your teachers by your side to teach you lessons, your friends by your side to console you and to make merry around with you, your colleagues by your side to share your work – Aint you feeling lucky to have all these people around you….I’m feeling so…..I’m feeling lucky enough to have all these people by my side to share all my mixed emotions…..
Think about people who don’t have these charms in their life….For some of them, Once they were born they were thrown into the darkness….For some others once they became old enough they were sent for work instead of schools….For some others they had no one to call father……For some others they were treated like mere servants by their step mother or father…..Now what do you think….Are they not worthy to be treated like we people…..Have they done anything wrong coz of which they are suffering like this….Are they some where lagging in something that we are far ahead with….Think my friends…think…
Thanks Alka for getting me into the activities of “Muskaan”…..The one and only social activity group of our Mumbai Accenture….Fully run and controlled by Accenture Employees…..I’m proud to be a part of our “Muskaan”….And I believe all the other members will be feeling the exact same and similar……
As a part of our Muskaan activity, we had a visit to “SHARNAM”, at Matunga….The first time I entered the place I was really surprised to see that the young girls were taken care of very well and good…. The place had some magical thing to do with me…I didn’t realize that I was emotionally getting attached to that place….We had gone there to give the children some books, snacks and some stationaries….. And as a token of love they performed dance in front of us….I was not able to take my breath for a while….What I saw was a masterpiece performance by the kids….we were not having enough words to appreciate the kids for what they had just done in front of us…..I think these are some of the moments I treasure in my mind….And I was curious to know “How these kids were trained”….And I had a chat with the lady who took care of these kids, and from her I came to know that the kids were given dance training by the famous “Shamur” and that too with out any pay…Hats off to you Shamur……See if there was no one to take care of them and to get them trained, how could they get such a good training…. The people who are behind the Sharnam, you people really have a place in hundreds of hearts……
I’m a regular viewer of Boogie Woogie in Sony TV….The kids of Sharnam got a chance to perform at this show….That was mind blowing to watch the kids on the TV show….Later at the end of the show, the kids were asked how they got into “Sharnam”…I don’t want to say all those stories in front of you…I know that along with me my roommates too were deeply moved by those words….Some words that were worth to be heard….And realized being kids how much they have struggled, how much pain they have took, how much they had to pay in their life….Those words are echoing in my ears even now….so friends what I asked you in the beginning “Do you feel lucky enough to live a life like this”….If you feel your answer is “No” then you have to visit the “Sharnam” to judge again “if you are lucky or not…If you have an answer “Yes” then you could visit “Sharnam” to see how lucky you are”…..
